Short CV
Roman Khazankin received his Dipl.-Ing. degree in informatics from Ufa State Aircraft Technical University (Russia) in 2007. He made his diploma thesis in cooperation with Institute of Automation, Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, TU Dresden. Currently he is a PhD student at the Distributed Systems Group, Information Systems Institute, Vienna University of Technology. During the study in Russia he participated in various commercial projects concerned with information systems (accounting systems) and internet technologies (web-sites, e-shops, on-line accounting) as a software developer and architect, as well as an adoption coordinator.
Research Interests
My research focus is currently on human resources management and application of crowdsourcing in the context of service-oriented systems. The problem I address is how to exploit the specifics of human-provided and crowdsourced services to cope with service level agreements in business processes.
Generally, my IT interests lie in system integration in the large, so I'm trying to keep track of the progress in service-oriented architectures, data integration, cloud computing and semantic technologies.
