Short CV |
After graduating at the Higher Institute of Technical Education for Software Engineering (in German: Hoehere Technische Lehranstalt (HTL)) in Villach in 2000, Ernst started to study Computer Science at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria. He received his Diplom-Ingenieur degree (comparable to Master of Science (MSc)) in June 2007.
After completing his civilian service in March 2008, which is obglitatory in Austria, he started to work as a project assistant and PhD candidate at the Distributed Systems Group (DSG) at the Vienna University of Technology. He has been supervised by Prof. Dr. Schahram Dustdar and Prof. Dr. Uwe Zdun. In March 2011, Ernst received a PhD degree from the Vienna University of Technology.
During his PhD studies, Ernst was researching on Design Patterns, Software Architectures, Domain-specific Languages (DSL), Model-driven Development (MDD), Service-oriented Architectures (SOA), Quality-of-Service (QoS), and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
